Potassium phytate, also known as potassium inositol hexaphosphate, is widely present in plant seeds.

Odorless, slightly astringent bitter, easy to deliquesce in air (anhydrous matter), easily soluble in water, insoluble in anhydrous ethanol, ether, acetone, benzene, chloroform and other solvents.

Application:
It is used as toothpaste additive in daily chemical industry to prevent tooth caries, anti-allergy, remove smoke and tea dirt, promote the remineralization of tooth glaze and whiten teeth. Potassium phytate derivatives added to shampoo can be antibacterial, anti-dandruff and anti-itching, and promote hair hyperplasia. The addition of detergent (liquid) can play the role of color fixing agent, flexibility, antistatic and fluffy clothing. Adding potassium phytate in cosmetics can prevent the occurrence of acne and acne, and has the effect of whitening and moisturizing skin.
Pharmaceutical and fermentation industry used as phosphorus, potassium regulator, bacterial medium, glycol antifreeze and corrosion inhibitor, feed nutrition supplement.
In food industry, it is used as starter, flavoring agent, leavening agent, mild alkaline agent for dairy products, buffer for yeast food and chelating agent.
