Enzymatic peptone, also known as Casein Tryptone, and Pancreatic digest of Casein, is obtained by hydrolysis of Casein with trypsin and using a new process. The product is pale yellow in color and contains various nutrients, which is suitable for microbial culture. The raw material of peptone, casein, is the protein with high content in milk and the main protein in milk. It is mainly used as food raw material or microbial culture medium. Casein peptone can also be used as a nutrient in bacterial culture medium. Tryptone is a commonly used medium in bacterial culture. Due to the lack of growth factors such as vitamins in the peptone, it works well in combination with HEROCHEM yeast extract for microbe culture.
