Nicotinamide mononucleotide NMN, for short, is an intrinsic substance in the body and is also abundant in some fruits and vegetables, including broccoli and cabbage.
In mammals, β-niacinamide mononucleotides are produced by Nicotinamide (Nam) catalyzed by Nampt (an in vivo protease), followed by NAD+ catalyzed by niacinamide mononucleoside Chemicalbook adenylate transferase. Niacinamide mononucleotide is a direct way to supplement NAD+.
