    Domestic manufacturers have developed dihydromyricetin powder with ultra-high water solubility and bioavailability, and gamma-cyclodextrin is a good solution to the problem of poor bioavailability of dihydromyricetin. γ-cyclodextrin molecules are shaped like a conical ring, with the special properties of hydrophobic inner cavity and hydrophilic outer cavity, which can bind other molecules in its internal cavity to form a stable inclusion compound, reduce oxidation, passivate photosensitivity and thermal sensitivity, reduce volatility, and also cover up odors, improve water solubility, and enhance bioavailability.

The results showed that compared with dihydromyricetin monomer, the water solubility of dihydromyricetin/gamma-cyclodextrin inclusion complex was 100 times that of the former, and the bioavailability was 3 times.
    Therefore, the experiment confirmed that the dihydromyricetin/gamma-cyclodextrin inclusion complex is a liquid water-soluble powder with high bioavailability, which can be used for dry or powdered dietary supplements such as tablets, capsules, energy biscuits, and also suitable for functional drinks.
